Assessor/Verifier Units

Assessors  – An experienced person in the same area of work as the candidate eg supervisor.  Their role is to judge the evidence of a candidate’s performance, knowledge and understanding against the national standards.  Decide whether the candidate has demonstrated competence.

Internal verifiers – Individuals appointed by an approved centre to ensure the quality of assessment within the centre.  Their role is to advise assessors and maintain the quality of assessment in a centre.  Systematically sample assessments to confirm the quality and consistency of assessment decisions
